Jasprit Bumrah on leave to get married, says reports

Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s release from the squad ahead of the fourth India v/s England test was a setback for all cricket fans out there. The right arm fast bowler took a few days off the playing field owing to some personal reasons. Reports now claim he is in fact getting ready for tying the knot in near future.

A source near the Board has affirmed that Bumrah is set to get hitched soon and has asked for some time off to prepare for his big day. However, the name and identity of the young lady to whom the pacer is getting married is still not known.

“He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day,” claimed the sources. Reports also quoted, “ sources in the BCCI have confirmed that the pacer is set to get married soon and has taken a leave to prepare for the same”.

Bumrah played only two tests in the current four-match series being played against England. He  played exceptionally in the first test in Chennai and ended up with four wickets including a three-wicket haul in the first innings and one in the second one. He was relieved for the second Test against England at Chennai and returned without any wickets in the fourth test owing to the spinners who did a larger part of the work.

The pacer is also not part of the squad for the upcoming  five-match T20 series against England from March 12 as well as the three-match ODI series against the same contender, starting March 23.

India is already leading the ongoing test series by 2-1 and if won, the men in blue will face New  Zealand in the finals of the World Test Championship.
