Indian Prodigy Saurabh Chaudhary accomplishes the Top spot in Qualification round in the 10 meters Air Pistol, Tokyo Olympics

On the morning of 24 July 2021 Saturday, 19-year-old sport shooter Saurabh Chaudhary who has participated in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 10-meter Air Pistol secured the top spot in the scoring table of Qualification round and also has paved his way straight to the finals with 586 points. It might stun you to know that this is the debut of Saurabh Chaudhary in the Olympics, he had to hustle to get at the number 1 position while his roommate and gold medalist Abhishek Verma can’t take his place in the 8 finale men players. 

Saurabh’s mind is made up!

It has been reported that when he met with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi he said that he is only eyeing Gold this time and nothing else. Saurabh is also an Asian and Youth Olympics gold medalist. The hopes of the nation are clung with Saurabh as Abhishek couldn’t make it to the finals. The final is about to start just after the qualification round. 

It must not be neglected that he had sports legends playing alongside him in the qualification round like Korean superstar Jin Jin Jongoh who is not in the finals, Chinese players Zhang Bowen, Serbian Damir Mikec, and Pang Wei and he had to compete harder in order to be in the game and excel. 

Meanwhile, Indian Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu Saikhom has won the Silver in weightlifting and lifted 202 kg at all 87 in snatch and 115 in clean.
