Shahbaz Brilliance Keeps Royal Challengers Bangalore On The Winning Track

Can RCB win the Trophy this year? I don’t know but they just have made a cracking start to the 14th season of the grand Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli-led RCB has won their second match by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 runs in a thrilling encounter yesterday.

It was again the pitch of MA Chidambaram that turned the things for Sunrisers. Bangalore lost the toss and was asked to bat first. The men in red didn’t start well and lost their two batsmen in just 6 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli and Australian Champ Glenn Maxwell put some runs together on the board. The duo put a partnership of 44 runs before Jason Holder sent Virat back. He made 33 runs. The middle order of RCB got fumbled as Rashid got AB de Villiers.

Jason Holder was the man for SRH in the bowling he took 4 wickets. But the show was made by Glenn Maxwell who showed why he is bought for a high price. The right-hand batsman played a sensational knock of 59 runs which put RCB in a fighting zone as they set a target of 150 for the orange army.

It seems that Hyderabad didn’t learn anything from Kolkata. The team started well skipper David Warner played an impressive knock of 54. He set a partnership with Manish Pandey. It was looking cakewalk for the team until that over from Shahbaz Ahmed arrived. He scappled two in that over and over all three in his spell and spoiled the whole middle order of Sunrisers. Harshal Patel again provided good bowling in the death over to restrict SRH at 143.

Glenn Maxwell for his knock was adjusted the man of the match award. He said that he will continue to keep scoring for the team.
