Rahul Chahar Took Win Mumbai Indians Over Sunrisers Hyderabad!
IPL stands for Incredible Premier League as every day we are witnessing twists around. This time it was between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad where Rohit led Mumbai to beat David’s Hyderabad by 13 runs. The match was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai which has been heaven for the spinners.
It was Rohit Sharma skipper of Mumbai Indians who won the toss and elected to bat first. It was something every team wants to do now. Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma guided Indians to a fine start. Rohit was looking fearless as he made 32 with 2 sixes and 2 fours in it. De Kock played a slow inning of 40 runs in 39 balls as the pitch was playing slow.
From Hyderabad, local boy Vijay Shankar took two back-to-back wickets of Rohit and Surya Kumar Yadav. Once good-looking Mumbai was stunned by Sunrisers bowlers. Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Rashid Khan kept Mumbai’s batsmen tight in the middle overs.
It was looking that Mumbai wouldn’t even reach 140. But Keiron Pollard was thinking differently. He played a smashing inning of 35 runs with three sixes in it. It seemed like he was playing on a different pitch. With the help of a cameo from Pollard, Indians made a fighting total of 150 on a tough-looking pitch.
Sunrisers surely needed a good start which was assured by Skipper David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. They made a partnership of 67 runs for the first wicket. It was looking cakewalk for Hyderabad until the pitch started playing its game. Leg spinner, Rahul Chahar destroyed the middle batting order of the orange army. That’s what Chennai’s pitch is known for.
Chahar took three wickets in his four-over spell. He was joined by Trent Boult who also took three wickets. Things turned around for SRH, as it was looking that they were easily chased down the target but pitch helped the bowlers and the whole SRH team got out on 137. Kieron Pollard was adjusted the man of the match for his all-around performance.
