Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) was going to become one of the finishers in 2021, but Mumbai Indians did not let it be. Delhi Capitals gave an introduction to a neat and clever selection strategy in the IPL auctions as it bought Steve Smith for just 2.2 crores and also Tom Curran, and Sam Billings. Delhi has the advantage of all-rounder Ravi Chandran Ashwin, Ravi took the fandom by storm in the India Vs Australia Series when he constructing the foundational partnership that led India to Border-Gavaskar Trophy winner. Also, it has Kagiso Rabada who was the purple cap winner of last year’s IPL.
