Delhi Capitals Registered Seven Wicket Win Over Chennai Super Kings!!
A student has beaten his own teacher in his game. Yes, that happened in the second match of the Indian Premier League where Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals crashed MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets. The match was played in Mumbai, so it was crucial winning the toss as due factor matters a lot there.
The coin was tossed in the Rishabh’s favor and Delhi elected to bowl first which was obvious. Chennai though put a decent total of 188 on the board. But opening partnership from Delhi between Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan snatched the match away from the yellow army.
Both set a partnership of 138 runs before Bravo sent Prithvi back in the dressing room. Shaw played an impressive inning of 72 on just 38 balls. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in that. Dhawan who was later adjusted man of the match scored 85 runs. Before that, after losing the toss Chennai came to bat, and with the help of innings of Suresh Raina who got his form back by making 54. He was unluckily got run-out.
In the end, Sam Curran played a crucial knock and CSK set the total of 188. Captain MS Dhoni got out without scoring a run. From Delhi, bowler Chris Woakes and Avesh khan took two-two wickets in their spell. Ashwin and Tom Curran got a one-one wicket. On the other hand, CSK’s bowlers looked listless and Delhi batters made the chase a child’s play. It is Delhi’s regular win in the third match against Chennai.
