Chris Morris Took Rajasthan Royals To A Stunning Win Over Delhi Capitals!
IPL again witnessed a thrilling match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Amid the covid-19, the match was played between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals where Royals registered a stunning three-wicket win over the capitals.
Young skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and asked Delhi Capitals to bat. They didn’t get the start they want as the team lost their 4 batsmen on just 37. It was looking that Delhi wouldn’t be able to reach even 100. But it was again Rishabh Pant the skipper with the bat. He played a responsible knock of 51 runs and set up a 50+ partnership with debutant Lalit Yadav for the fifth wicket before Rayan Parag sent Pant back with his direct hit.
Delhi with the help of little cameos from Lalit Yadav, Chris Woakes, and Tom Curran went up to a below-par score of 147. From Rajasthan Royals, Jaydev Unadkat took 3 wickets and rattled Delhi’s top order. Mustafizur Rahman also took 2 wickets.
In response, Rajasthan Royals didn’t start well. The team lost five players on a score of just 42 including the biggies Jos Butler and Sanju Samson. Thanks to David Miller who settled down the storm of bowlers and played an impressive knock of 62 runs on 43 balls. The left-handed South African took Royals close to the target before being caught by Avesh Khan. The momentum was again shifted to the Delhi Capitals.
Miller got out when Rajasthan still needed 44 runs. Two new batsmen were on the crease. It was not to be easy for the Royals but Chris Morris was thinking something else. He smashed three sixes in two overs and changed the course of the match again in the favor of the Royals. Over of Kagiso Rabada was a turning point of the match. Morris sent two balls out of the park and assured the victory for the Royals. He finished the match with a six too.
Unadkat also played some shots that offered help in chasing. He was adjusted Man of the Match for his all-around performance.
