There is a piece of good news for the fans who love to see cricket in stadiums. The event organizer of IPL has made an official statement on Wednesday that a limited amount of fans will be allowed to see matches in the stadium during the second leg of the Indian Premier League.
We all know that the first leg of IPL was played in India without a single audience and the tournament was postponed later due to the outbreak of covid-19 cases in the franchise camps. Now, the remaining phase of IPL is set to resume from 19th of September with the clash between two champions side Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in front of fans at the Dubai International Stadium.
Indian Premier League (IPL) spokesperson said in a statement that the tournament is blessed to welcome the fans back to the stadiums. The match on 19th of September will be a momentous occasion as covid-19 has restricted fans to enter the stadiums for a long time.

It is important to know that the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has taken permission from the UAE government to allow spectators into the stadium. The Board hasn’t taken the decision singly. The IPL statement has further added that Matches will be played in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi with limited seating available keeping in mind the COVID protocols and UAE government regulations.
Last time when fans were come to see the matches were in the year 2019. The 2020 season of IPL was played in UAE without any spectators due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first phase of the 2021 season of the World’s most famous league IPL was also played behind the doors in secure bio-bubbles.
Those who are eager to know the number of fans allowed this time to watch have to wait for the announcement. The organizers haven’t cleared the exact number of fans making it to the stadiums.
