World Test Championship 2021-2023 Schedule For India Is Out Now. Let’s Find Out!
The Second Phase of the World Test Championship is announced. The WTC part 2 will kick off with the 5 match test series between India and England. ICC has revealed the WTC 2021-2023 schedule for team India. Same as before India will not play with Pakistan. According to the WTC rules, each team has to play six series with six different nations of their choice. India has denied playing with Pakistan. There is another that the blue team has made. They have chosen Sri Lanka ahead of West Indies.
Significantly, the first-ever WTC final was successfully organized by the ICC and we got our winner as New Zealand beat India in the finals. Now, it’s time for the second phase of the ICC’s newest event which has brought to cheer up the excitement of the longest format of Cricket.
As per the new schedule, India will play with six teams including England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. As per ICC rules, every team has to play 3-3 series at home and away respectively. India will host Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in the new cycle of the World Test Championship.
On the other hand, for three away tours, India will play against England, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Men in Blue will start their WTC campaign against England next month with a 5 match test series. Skipper Virat Kohli and co will travel to South Africa at the end of the year for a three-match test series. India will play their last away series in November next year against Bangladesh.
Well, India’s home campaign is not going to get easy at all. India has to face Australia for a test series of 4 matches next year between September and November. The men in blue will be hosting WTC champions New Zealand later this year in November. Sri Lanka will visit India in February-March 2022.
