Experts And Viewers Should Talk About Cricket Not Pitches, Says Rohit
Pitches are the heart of the game of cricket and whenever cricket happens the word ‘pitch’ becomes popular overnight. The same thing happened during the first two matches of the Test series between India and England.
Several experts, viewers, and even cricketers couldn’t stop themselves to talk about the pitches of Chennai. From the Indian cricket team, fast bowler Ishant Sharma held the pitch of the first test match a ‘road’. On the other hand, former English cricketer, Michael Vaughan portrayed the pitch of the second test match as a ‘beach’.
‘Change the mindset’, Rohit’s advice to the cricket experts
These similar questions and discussions went to the Indian opener and vice-captain Rohit Sharma’s ears during a press conference held on 21st February. The opening batsman couldn’t stop himself to open his heart on the discussion and said that he didn’t understand why there are more chats on pitches not on cricket.
Rohit who scored 161 in the second test match, added that whenever the Indian team travels outside, it is never seen that the team is complaining about the pitches they play. He said that they just play cricket and accept the mistakes they do.
Rohit went on saying and told to the reporters that the pitches have been prepared in the same way over the years and nothing has changed. He ended by saying that every team who plays in their home takes favor of the home conditions.
