IPL 2021: All You Need To Know About The First Clash Of World’s Biggest Franchise Tournament!!

Hold your breaths cricket fans, because what dada Sourav Ganguly, BCCI Chief said will become true in April. Yes, you heard that right 14th season of the Indian Premier League will take place in India this year. The first match will be played between the Mumbai Indians and RCB.

Here we will provide every information of the first match:

First Clash:

The most successful team of IPL and last year winner Mumbai Indians will take hands with Royal Challengers Bangalore. According to the scheduled, the most likely date which has been selected for the opening match of the IPL is 09th of April 2021

The whole schedule of the tournaments has been set and the tournament will fuel up on the 09th of April and the final of the most awaited league in the world will likely happen on the 30th of June. Yeah, the duration of the tournament will be long as the Covid-19 protocols will be followed.

Venue and Timing of the opening clash:

Match will be at M.A.Chidambaram Chepauk Stadium Chennai. As per the Indian Standard time, the match will start at 7 hours 30 minutes IST in the evening.

After the successful auction, both the teams are looking ready for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League. Mumbai under the captaincy of local boy Rohit Sharma on one hand will play to protect the trophy on the other hand RCB under the captaincy of Virat Kohli will work hard to lift the trophy for the first time.

It is great news for the fans that the tournament will be hosted in India and fans will be allowed to enter the stadiums amid Covid-19 protocols as last season of IPL was played in Dubai due to Corona Virus under bio-bubble protection without fans.

Mumbai Indians took some strategic steps in selecting the players in the auction and bought a total of 7 players for Rs. 11.70 Cr which includes 3 domestic and 4 foreign players. Since the release of the cricket great Lasith Malinga had left Mumbai with an unfillable void, but to stand and dominate the competition the team bought Nathan Coulter-Nile and Adam Milne.
