IPL Is Ready To Invite Two New Teams, Auction To Be Held In May!!

As per the promise from the Board For Control Of Cricket In India (BCCI), fans will now see two new teams contesting in the 2022 season of the World’s richest league, the Indian Premier League. This news from us can make your all doubts clear. 

IPL is all set to welcome the two new team as the auction for the new franchises are supposed to be held in May this year. On the meeting held on Saturday which involved the BCCI Chief, Saurav Ganguly, and secretary Jay Shah, it was decided that the execution of various policy decisions taken by the IPL governing body at the beginning of the year will be taken place shortly.

This meeting involved the discussion of ten teams IPL as it is pre-decided that the 2022 IPL will involve ten teams. Auction for the two new franchises will take place at the finals of the 14th season of the upcoming IPL. It means that in May, the owners of the new team will be decided. 

It was confirmed by a source from BCCI, that the final bidding and the overall finalization process for new members will be finished soon to make the teams ready for the 15th season of IPL.

After the finalization of the teams, the teams can start their operational work which usually takes time. It was further added by the source. You might be thinking that what will be the base price of the team?

The base prices of the teams are decided by the governing council of IPL. Even the timelines of the tender are determined by IPL GC itself. 

It is not yet the prices of the teams are increased every year due to the impact of the media rights and their tender.
