Sunrisers Hyderabad Skipper Kane Williamson is excited for the second phase of the Indian Premier League. He is expecting an all-around performance from his team in the second leg which will be played in UAE.
In a video posted by the SRH franchise via Twitter, fans can see Skipper Kane Williamson said that he is expecting some fine performances from the orange army in different roles. He said that He supposes as individuals had all different sets of expectations of what players wanted to do. And it was nice to spend some time in the middle. They saw a lot of really good contributions (in practice match) from a number of guys in different roles which is good to see.
Sunrisers will start their campaign for the second leg of the 14th edition of IPL against Delhi Capitals on Monday. The franchise mentor VVS Laxman was looking assured after the practice session on Wednesday as players geared up themselves for the match against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals.
In a video posted on Twitter, mentor Laxman said that they got another practice game on the 19th and he is sure it will be much better and also the practice sessions have been purposeful and meaningful, so overall he thinks boys are shaping well for the first game on September 22.
Star spinner Rashid Khan has assured SRH fans that the team will look at every match as a final encounter. Significantly, Sunrisers are at the bottom of the points table after the completion of the first leg. Rashid is also working on his batting to give an edge to his team at the end overs.
He said in a video that for one and a half years, he has been working on his batting as the last 15-25 runs are very crucial for the side. So, he is just trying his best to do different things, he hasn’t practiced a lot of shots in the nets but he is just focusing on having the right mindset.
He also added that he is definitely looking forward to the rest of the season, yeah, they didn’t have the ideal start in the first half of the tournament but looking forward to finishing up well and treat every game as a final and give his 100 percent.
The opening encounter of the second phase will be played tomorrow with the clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The match will be played in Dubai. Stay safe, stay stunned.
