India Vs England 4th Test 1st Day: England Stunned India Again With Fine Bowling As Visitors Are Bowled Out On 191!
It was again a fine display from English bowlers who bowled out India on just 191 runs in their first innings. Though India replied back with the ball and the hosts were reduced to 53 for 3 at the stroke of stumps on day one of a fourth test match.
England bowlers have started from where they left at the third test. After winning the toss, England’s skipper Joe Root invited India to bat and his bowlers proved his decision right here at The Oval ground. England made one change to their team as Chris Woakes gets the chance to play in place of Sam Curran.
On the other hand, India made two changes to their squad. Shardul Thakur comes in place of Ishant Sharma and paceman Umesh Yadav joined the playing XI replacing Mohammad Shami. After losing the toss, openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started decently. But the new man Chris Woakes removed Rohit at the team score of 28. Without adding any run to the scoreboard Ollie Robinson strike and sent KL Rahul back to the pavilion. At this stage, India was 28 for 2.
James Anderson sent Cheteswar Pujara who just got his form in the last match at a score of 4. The visitors were reduced to 39 for 3. In the response, England openers don’t survive the spell of Jasprit Bumrah. He got two wickets in the same over of Rory Burns and Haseeb Hamid. Bumrah reduced England to 6 for 2. It was looking like collapse but Skipper Joe Root and David Malan shared a small partnership of 46 runs. Umesh Yadav got the huge wicket of inform Joe Root just before the stumps.
